House of Hues

Eight large-scale paintings, eight monochrome palettes, eight emotions — each one given a shelter. A bird cage. A koi pond. Nested dolls. At the center of the gallery, a repurposed dollhouse turns slowly on a turntable, its ten rooms built from reclaimed materials to mirror every piece on the wall.

"Ever since I could remember I have enjoyed making artwork no matter the medium — I've always been drawn to more surrealistic and mixed media styles."

Savannah Richardson is a painter and graphic artist from Kirbyville, Missouri, and the 2025–2026 Artist-in-Residence for the Southern Missouri Arts Connection (SMAC). Alongside her residency, she illustrates independently published children's books, paints murals across the region, takes on portrait and logo commissions, and live-paints weddings and events.

A committed user of reclaimed and donated materials, she treats every found object as a chance for a second life — beads, felt, sequins, and sculpted elements built directly into her canvases. "I want these things to be more than single-use," she says. "I want to give them another home."
